The 26X series have a few dial configurations that make this plausible. Not sure what reference that one is but here is my 2937:

I vote replaced hands that are too long.

Off topic, but that patina is everything. ::love:: Omgoodness. Dibs, if it’s never been called. Or I will gladly get in line.

Yeah, agree with @ulackfocus that they are replaced. Note also that the case size is 32.5mm which is common to the 420 movement. That is pretty tiny for a vintage Omega and probably why it was hard to locate shorter, correct hands.

I wouldn't get close to that watch.

Also, by 26X I meant Caliber. They were 30mm and often come with 36mm cases and the elongated hands like mine...

Thanks. It sure is purrty. I think this one stays in the collection. ::love::

Thanks to all! My watchmaker says correct replacement hands are tough to find, so I’ll heed the advice and stay away.

I've often wondered about this one:

    s-l1600-1.jpg s-l1600-2.jpg s-l1600-5.jpg s-l1600-6.jpg
    (seller pictures)
Every time I convince myself these are replacement hands I see another example similar to this. In any case I am not going to replace them; not that I haven't searched for possible shorter hands - finding them with lume is elusive to say the least.

Case size on this example is 34.5mm without the crown.

EDIT: This one does look like the first advertisement posted above. And looking closer at the hour markers I'm not sure they ever had radium pips. Maybe I should look for a solid hand set...

Correct hands on the watch in the OP, in my opinion. The design mirrors those Omegas with 30mm movements where the overlap is factory spec, so I would suggest that these are correct, too. Also, if they weren't the hour hand would have to be tiny. The (very few) 2667s I could google my way to that had a similarly placed second track also have overlapping hands.

I have never seen overlapping hands on a 2577 or similar, so I would say that they are replacements. But who really knows for sure? ::confused2::

The fact that the second hand which does look original comes only to the second track makes me think the hour/minute hands have been replaced on OPs watch.

But this is also the case on those Omega references where a overlapping minutes hand is standard, such as 2792/2892s...

When I google the 2667 reference, I find three or four others with an inner seconds track, all of them have an overlapping minutes hand. None of them has an overlapping seconds hand.

OTOH, the most likely explanation for replacing hands would be rust - and the dial looks pristine. Odd, if hands rusted then?
Another thing, there is a visible gap around the dial. Is the tension ring incorrect as well?
