    Just beautiful acquisition, I am jealous. Do you do your own service, it's hard to find good reputable leica repairman.

    Enjoy it :thumbsup::thumbsup:

    I am a Leica M user. Used to own M6, MP, M9. Now my only M left is the Leica MP (240). Also into Plaubel Makina, Hasseblad 503CW, SWCs. Rolleiflex TLRs. Crazy about the Noctilux.

    Shoot watch pics with my Samsung edge and also the Leica Visoflex 2 using the Elmar lens.

    I still have all the lenses in the pic, but the M9 was traded in for the MP 240 as the sensor kept giving me trouble. They say the M9 sensor tends to break down in the tropics where I am at.

    I've had a Leica D-Lux 5 since 2011, and it's pretty nice. My film camera is a Mamiya SLR that I bought in the mid 1980's.

    Do you use them regularly or use the phone?

    I used the Leica regularly until the iPhone 7+ camera was good enough to be my goto camera, with optical image stabilization and 12mp, and now my iPhone X with better low light capability. I have not compared the Leica to the iPhone X camera in low light yet. I still use the Leica for major events like graduations and weddings.

    I haven't used my film camera in about 6 years.

    Between the M9 and the MP240, I must say that I like the images on the M9 are better...

    Skip the M9 and go for the M10...best digital M to date. Used M10’s are starting to appear on the market now that the M10P is out

    Had a Leica SL for several months. Ergonomics were not great. Worse, I like to shoot vintage lenses, and adapters for the SL are (1) few, and (2) expensive. I went with a Sony A9, and it pretty much blows the Leica out of the water in every respect.

    I have been a photographer for a long time and camera collector. My favourite camera to grab is the SL (digital) and i have a full collection of Leica lenses. I do have film cameras from most manufacturers but for digital, only Leica and Panasonic (when I need to travel light but still use Leica glass).

    For watches, I am a newbie and only have a dozen.

    If you hanker after mechanical watches, then mechanical well engineered cameras are also going to tickle your fancy, especially after you pick one up.

    I enjoy the leica M system and have been shooting with them now for maybe 10 years. I like mechanical things and I shoot 35, Medium format and sometime 4x5. The leica M system are a joy to shoot with for their size and reliability. I think I have owned and tried most minus the M5. A friend even let me shoot with their Medium format Digital for a month. Not my cup of tea specially at that price. The closes SLR in my opinion to the Leica M is the Nikon FM3a. Not a rangefinder but really compact as well.

    I am currently very please with my MP, Monochrom, and M240. I don't think I need to "upgrade" to the M10 but who knows. I also never bought any of my cameras new. I bought the Nikon D300 and then the D800 once but all has been used since.

    BTW, I am not a professional photographer. My interest in mechanical things has let me to film cameras 15 years or so ago and unfortunately to the watchworld maybe 3 years ago. haha. I am doomed.

    For vintage I like the Zeiss lenses, the Leica cameras, which lead me to the Nikon RF system where I can use my Zeiss lenses.

    Which Nikon RF cameras have you used? Have you used a Nikon SP? I love those cameras but never been fortunate enough to have one. I have S2 and S3 but not a SP.
