How about this one, is the dial original?

Nooooooo

(don't start new threads for each one, just put all them here)

Most Omega men's watches had some form of a minute track. If this watch style speaks to you then you should look into a different watch brand.

I'm concerned about the questions you pose, bbl1998.
These dials are ridiculous and I now wonder if your questions are serious. I felt you may be a beginner but now am beginning to wonder your intentions.
Please tell us more about yourself.

I am a newbie. Found these on email. I have done some research. This seams to be D6672.

to be a d6672. When I Google search it, those don't have minute track. The dial looks pretty similar. How do you come to a conclusion that it is ridiculous? I would like to learn. Thanks

I suggest you do some more research on vintage Omegas. If these are the type of watches you are looking at and think they are original you should not be buying one. You likely will buy a redialed one or worse and lose your money. They call that "noob tax".

So do some more research and look at original dials and it should become obvious what are wrong with the ones you posted.

I did do my research this is D6672 with a cal 620 inside. The dial looks pretty similar. Can you elaborate what makes you think this is a redial or not even an Omega?

You do know a 620 cal is a really small movement? If that is the look you want then okay, but these watches are crazy small. A US quarter is 24.26 mm in diameter (a dime is 17.9mm). These movements are less than 18mm in diameter. So picture wearing a watch that is smaller than a quarter on your wrist. Is this the look you are going for?

Actually this is 33mm without the crown. It's just a very thin watch.

I must apologize, "ridiculous" was not the appropriate term and I'm sorry I used it, please forgive me.

As far as learning, I posted several points on your other thread but may I suggest starting by reading ConElPueblo's excellent advice:
https://omegaforums.net/threads/learn-how-to-fish.52603/

Also, peruse the "WRUW" thread to view thousands of beautiful, correct watches and you'll develop a sense of what looks good and what seems wonky.

Good luck to you and again, my apologies!

I think it is possible that the dial is custom and may be original to the watch, although the logo and printing was likely refinished.

My guess is that the watch is 14K white gold, not steel. This was done for the US market.

We would need to see hallmarks on inside of case and movement to know what this is.

The overall style is similar to Buddy Holly's Omega (without the custom diamond bezel), which was recovered from the plane crash that took his life.

I can't tell for sure what this is, but I wouldn't dismiss it either.

This kind of dial and hands, without the diamonds, could actually be found in watches with 620-625. And we all know Omega can add a couple of diamonds on dials in some occasion - not every Omega is an elegant watch!
Not sure this one is original though.

Looks like a reference D6672, a US market watch. Diamonds were offered in a variety of configurations.

Here is an original example.

Here is a Ref. D6672 with exactly the same diamond configuration on the dial.

http://m.ebay.com/itm/322696435795?

Only difference is that the dial on OP's watch is refinished and dial on eBay watch looks to be original. eBay watch case is 14K white gold as expected.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the info. Would you mind being kind enough to look at this one please? Is this all original?

Yes.

Although it's becoming obvious that my taste in watches differs significantly to yours.

At this stage, I would trend towards trying to find a good example in the watch sales section of this very forum.

While not officially vetted, any clear fakes or redials will be scrutinized and commented on by the members, thereby doing the majority of the research for you.

Buying on eBay at this stage is like trying to swim the English Channel after two weeks of training for you (frankly i hesitate to buy anything particularly rare or expensive on the 'Bay now as good watches at good prices tend to be snapped up quickly, leaving me wondering what I've missed about an example that's still around....).

Without pictures of the inside of the watch, it is impossible to tell.
