··Oooo subtitles!It mostly looks good but can you show a close up of the 6 index. It looks weird, like Swiss is printed over the lume. Or on the crystal. It might be a US cased model so not marked 2846 since the Swiss models usually have 'Swiss Made' in my experience. If it is US made it will have the 17 jewel 500 movement probably and a local casemaker reference in the back.

·The Swiss marking is strange, but the rest of it looks fine. Coming with all the original papers it is likely to be genuine. You obviously need to see that the movement is correct, but I would go for it if you can negotiate a reasonable price.
I paid US$900 for this one a couple of years ago because it was in superb condition and had the screw back with Seamaster logo, which I preferred to the spring back like yours. It felt like top dollar but I love it.

·I saw the watch in person. Firstly, the Swiss marking is on the dial, under the indices. The photo made it seem like it was on top of the metal but it’s not. The dial had sprinkles of patina. The hands had some corrosion, and it looked like someone had attempted to clean it as it looked brushed as if it was lightly sanded. Case seemed unpolished. The 501 movement looked clean. Caseback is marked 2846/8. Price is $1200. I didn’t buy it

·$1200 is too much, IMO. I am not saying that someone couldn't be wooed by it, but I have a hard time seeing even $1000 here.
