What color would you call the dial on this 14381?

I took a chance on a very fairly priced 14381 with poor pictures on ebay. It arrived last night and I'm pretty please. The dial seems to be in pretty good shape, but almost a dulled Grey when not in good lighting. These pictures are in a sunny spot outside.

Can anyone tell me what they think is going on here?

I'm sorry. I tried to take pictures in 3 different types of lighting (sun, indoors, and flash) so it wasn't for a lack of trying. Maybe you would offer some advice?

Yellowish white dial with 14k yellow gold furniture, ss case (?).

So, normal or possibly somehow treated with something making it not original?
