My wife's niece visited with her 3 year old boy, and it was interesting to see how the dogs interacted with him, since neither of them have had any significant interactions with children. Our Ridgeback didn't know what to make of him and alternated between being fearful and dominant, so I ended up crating him. But for our 6 year old Boxer, it was love at first sight. The two of them played (tug and trucks) and cuddled all night. She was incredibly gentle and tolerant.
