Sometimes I put two large flat pillows on the passenger seat for her to sit on. She loves being able to see over the dash and feel the wind blowing (as most dogs do, and many humans for that matter...).
I have a special harness and seatbelt clip to lock my dog into place in the backseat. i don't want to be in a crash and have her turn into a flesh and bone missile.
reminds me of this guy..... who grew up into this at about 170 lbs (the dog that is....) when we returned from the Birmingham to Canada my father brought his 3L Rover with right hand drive. Startled many an oncoming driver with the dog sitting in the front left seat, including one memorable stop by the police (I was sitting in the back, dog had called "shotgun"). With a sitting height that allowed his chin to rest on a standard dining table, no need for booster pillows.
Sadly, our last backpacking trip of the year, so both Zelda and Opus came along to the Mount Zirkel Wilderness. No mountain scenery photos this time, just some doggy happiness, early Fall color, and time to rest on the drive back home.
This is how I found our cat, Bernard, the other day after he had been out all night. This made me quite jealous as I was off to work
She was such a daddy’s girl. Recruited to the Canine Angels August 24th, but she had an awesome 13 years (10 with me)
Thank you, and sorry for the loss of your bulldog. It’s always difficult saying good bye, but I an grateful for the time we shared. . .
Whatever happened to the no dogs on the furniture rule ? t.b.h. I have started not bothering as he gets older he seems to really relax on this chair and hopefully he will enjoy it for many years to come.
She may be old and struggle to walk up the stairs, but life can still be fun with the right attitude.
