He's just shy of 90 lbs, which is pretty normal for a male. Our previous Ridgebacks were females, and they were significantly smaller, 70-75lbs. He's very friendly and not at all aggressive (in fact he's submissive with other dogs). But he's definitely not gentle. I really don't trust him around small dogs and children, just because he's not very careful and always wants to play rough.
Quiet here today - Remi off to the vet to have a paw looked at (abscess of some kind) and to have some dental cleaning done...he gave me a desperate look as he left in my wife's car this morning...nooooo please don't let her take me there!
When Chunky passed away in June I swore that I’d never get another dog as I couldn’t go through the heartbreak again. Anyway a Bulldog breeder that I know had a litter about 4 weeks ago and we’ve all just been to have a look at them. I told her it was too soon to take one from this litter but if she has another one next year we’ll take one. You forget how cute puppies are, especially fat little Bulldog puppies.
Funny how things change in this regard sometimes. Jacqui had said we would not get another dog after Raven passed away, and we would just stick with Remi for now. But yesterday she sent me photos of Whippets that are up for adoption...
@chunkythebulldog Those pups looked like stuffed toys. I’ve always thought bulldogs and boxers are the best looking puppies.
Definitely one of the cutest breeds out there but I've never seen a puppy that I didn't like. Gratuitous picture of Chunky as a puppy Haha, it was tough but to cheer my girls up after Chunky died I booked us a 3 week trip to Disney / tour of Florida early next year so it's better we get one after we're back from that. Just need to sweet talk Sarah into it now.
@chunkythebulldog Congrats! Those pictures sparked off a big debate in Wiv towers about No2. I've always wanted an English, however it makes *squints a bit* sense to go for another Frenchie. I may PM you for the breaders details at some point. For the future obviously
