One is very well camouflaged 👍
Just bought our boy a new bed which is like a mattress.
He tried it out last night and is very happy.

We have a similar mattress in our motorhome and our Beagle loves it 👍

Damn a year old they look 3-4 at least. Good size cats. Having two is great I enjoy how they interact. I’m still on the hunt for a white fluffy (long hair) cat but they seem hard to find. I stop by the rescues as I have been “cleared” by the ones around me. The background checks were almost FBI like.

I get those damn beds for Rocky and he sleeps outside of it with his back against it. Just cat nip and toy mouses he wants. I’ve wasted a lot of money trying to spoil him he just don’t care.
I’m curious have you weighed your kitties? Maybe it’s the picture making them look big but I’d guess 8-10 pounds. Great looking enjoy them.

Here is Rocky sleeping in a closet on top of a moving box. He much prefers this over a nice soft cat bed. Pretty sure he ain’t right

We bought this bed to make our boy as comfortable as possible.
He had his second seizure in 5 days yesterday and is very unsteady on his feet.
The twitches have been going on for a few weeks but were hardly noticeable, after his first seizure they've got worse.
The vet checked his bloods on Saturday, said they were fine and yesterday he looked a lot better.
He'd fainted a couple of years ago after hurting his back but after a dose of metacam he made a complete recovery and I thought/hoped this time was going have the same outcome.
He'd started cocking his leg again for a pee, did some roll overs in long grass and even had a tug on his towel.
But on the way home from his second short walk of the day he started frothing and having seen it happen last week, asked my missus to go home for her car.
By the time she got back to us Polo was on his feet albeit growling a bit.
Took him to the vet who asked did we want further treatment for him and obviously we do.First move will be an MRI scan.
I've explored all the posts on this thread going back to 2014 and know other people have gone down this road with their pals so would appreciate any advice and help.

I'm so sorry to hear about Polo''s troubles and I'm certain it's creating stress and sadness for you and the missus. I don't have any medical advice to offer but I know from experience that seizures in dogs are terrifying. I had a young dog who experienced the occasional seizure but they resolved over time with minimal intervention (the occasional gabapentin). I hope Polo's issue gets diagnosed quickly and accurately, and that there is a treatment that is effecticve and acceptable to all.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.
He had another one about 2 hours ago.
I was painting the shed and he came over to have a nose.
Next thing he was spitting froth and I thought I'd dropped paint on him.
He was only actually having the seizure for about a minute but he took about 45 minutes to be back to normal.
He couldn't see and was barking non-stop.As soon as my missus came over it was as though someone had flicked a switch and he calmed down.
Besides the seizures there's his wobbliness for us to worry about.
We've got the option of an MRI scan which is nearby and they'll pick him up and drop him off or an MRI and other treatment further away which will be stressful for him.
Have you still got the dog ?

Sending warm wishes to Polo - one of the best OF dogs, a lad who knows how to deal with a pie. No experience to help you unfortunately, just glad you're getting good advice from others.

so sorry to hear about Polo’s health trouble.
To me there is no choice on how to proceed (within reason): they are family and you help your family anyway you can.
Good luck!!

Thank you for the warm wishes, having trawled through this thread years before Polo started being ill I could sense the warm hearts of the people on here.
Reading those posts would make me tear up because I knew I had it all to come.
The vet has come up with a third option which is one i would have expected, to try him Epiphen for a month.

PS : He last had a pie on Friday, a deep steak 👍

Have you still got the dog ?

While I no longer have that dog, Waylon lived out his natural life to age 15. (He's my avatar.)

@Turpinr is doggo on any anti seizure meds? I’ve known some pet owners who’ve had success with them. I assume you have been down that road just checking. I wish you success with his treatment. Oh just saw that the vet recommended a Med for a month hopefully that helps

Thank you 👍
As well as the seizures there's his balance problem which came on gradually but at the moment he's asleep in another chair, dead to the world and looks fine.
He'll start on his meds tomorrow so fingers crossed

@Turpinrr, I am so sorry to hear about Polo. I hope that he gets the diagnosis and subsequent treatment he needs very soon. Never easy to see our furry friends having an issue, and I agree with @sxl2004 that "they are family and you help your family anyway you can."

Thank you, I appreciate your thoughts.
The near 10 years we've had him have been an absolute joy and I pray there are more to come.
The last year or so he's turned into a real softie, going over to strangers in pubs and cafes and rolling over to have his tummy rubbed.
He must've walked 15,000 miles here, there and everywhere

One of Polo's favourites is rolling round in long grass another is getting muddy.
Before we moved in December we had a scout round to find trails and walks for him.
In the bottom pic is "the wutchie" which we didn't know about ; the bottom of the hill is full of mud, perfect !!!
As usual the boy is looking where I am 🥰

I try that with my cat he takes the stare as a challenge and wants to fight.
