·It’s amazing sometimes how much it hurts to lose a pet but I can relate to what you are going through. I’ve lost a #of good buddies on the way but losing Hairy the cat last year one one of the toughest. Bob Dylan has a line “I’ve never gotten used to it, I just learned to turn it off.” I hope your grief comes to pass as it should and you remember the great life you gave her. I still miss hairy
Thanks xxx Poppy had a life well-lived, and that does take the sting out of it. A little. I still turn around half expecting to see this dark tortie shape lurking in the corner. Lexi is still very clingy, but then again, she's never been an only cat before.
Went to a cat show on Saturday - I was stewarding i.e. handling the cats for a judge - and a lot of the folks there knew Poppy from when I used to show her. They were just brilliant. And a day cuddling some super exhibits ended up being a wonderful panacea.
