Oh no surgery?
Yup, she had an old lady bump on her head that kept getting irritated and 2 teeth extracted (she’s British- she has bad teeth!). This is so undignified for a lady.

Maharishi Yogi can open any cabinet I put the cat treats in so I moved them to draws but I just found out this AM he jumps on the counter above the draw and reaches down and slides the draw open. .
A friend of mine had a cat that could open a closed kitchen door and then the fridge to extract any cheese in there, and also the bathroom door to get a drink of water from the toilet. Cure was to have small sliding bolts that human fingers (with opposed thumb) could operate but cat paws couldn't. Standing instruction in that house was that every internal door the cat wanted to open had to be kept closed and bolted.

His previous cat didn't do that but would carefully stalk rabbits in the field the rare breed Soay sheep were kept in -- without noticing that the very curious sheep were following. The rabbits didn't take much notice of the sheep until when the cat was close to a rabbit a sheep would nudge him as if to say "Go boy". Result: cat leaps into the air and rabbit, cat & sheep scatter to the four winds. That cat would sit on top of a working Bridgeport milling machine all day. So nice and warm sitting on a 5hp electric motor and the cat was devoted to his "owner".

Glad it’s not serious serious. I had a weird thing with sooper dooper when she was still alive. I took her to a vet who said she had a cavity and needing a filling. I was right in the middle of moving so I made an appointment for about a month later at a closer vet.
They checked her out and said no cavities and recommended I leave her teeth alone. I asked the doc if the previous vet was trying to pad my bill he said not necessarily. A cats gums can grow to cover an injured tooth. Sealing the damage preventing it from getting infected or spreading. She was probably 10 years old so she lived another 15 years and kept all her teeth. I found that pretty amazing I don’t know if dogs have that feature but the info you pick up on how animals have these built in healing tricks are pretty amazing.
Anyway I’m sure you dropped the price of a watch taking care of doggo. I could have got a Daytona between hairy and sooper doopers medical bills but they were both well worth it.

Well, I could have had a nice vintage DJ for what I have spent on these 2 dogs since December. But a DJ doesn’t do cuddle time like these guys do.

Ya the brothers Grimm are very good at figuring out basic locks and doors. I have read that Russian blues tend to be intelligent. I just got done putting the clean dishes away. I noticed maharashi Yogi was watching me as soon as I finished he jumped up and inspected my work, yes I washed most of them again.

then I was rather proud I trained Rocky raccoon to lay down when I give them treats as he gets overly excited and will end up scratching or biting me. I was looking on in amazement as he followed my command to “lay down” as I praised myself as a fine cat trainer his brother had jumped up knocking the bag of treats all over the floor and they both went nuts which of course lead to a fight. Ya great cat trainer I am, the cat whisperer. And here, a story in pictures.

Old boy (AKA the black bomber) felt these should go up here :0)
.
That is so true although the brothers Grimm have their Christian names I notice I will call them several different things throughout the day.
Maharishi Yogi seems to give me a funny look if the name is too far off base

Sorry to spam this thread with the brothers Grimm but @allwoundup likes the fights. I was leaving work on Valentine’s Day, my coworkers reminded me it was indeed Valentine’s Day and I had nothing for my wife.

My job had ordered too much carpeting so I found this small carpet we were going to throw out and brought that home for her. Yes, not romantic but I wasn’t feelin that great and she didn’t get me anything anyway.

Now like every new object in the house it becomes the property of Rocky raccoon and Maharishi yogi who have turned it into a fighting ring. This morning at 6a…… I guess cats don’t keep rules about going outside the ring.
