We have been dividing Zelda’s food into three meals recently to help with her aging digestion so she is the only dog that gets lunch. Max usually lies next to her watching her eat and then licks out her dish when she is done. Yesterday he decided that he couldn’t be bothered to stand up and just pulled the dish to him and cleaned it while in a prone position. What a funny dog.

Old boy is on a new diet and also likes little and often / three to four meals a day. He seems a lot better on it. Young girl eats everything and his is higher calorie as well so we have to keep them apart.... which is easy as despite the odd nose kiss he still hates her we suspect. I was back to my old job in the week (cat mattress) so all work stopped for a while. Old boy has also made a nest in the garage - so he has the high ground and can then watch the cat-flap for the young pretender... none shall pass (only she ignores him :0)

Haven't posted here for a while. We have had Beau (Golden Retriever) coming up for two years. A couple of weeks ago my wife's boss asked if we would like their dog (now named Coffee). He is about the same age as Beau and they get on like brothers😀

Puppy after his first visit to the groomers, seemingly behaved well and thankfully as cuddly as always 👍

After work I stopped by to visit someone. They have a big beautiful Maine coon who always happily greets me. Always cool when animals show recognition and memory.

Nice lasagna dinner, then knuckle head comes in….at least she seems to know enough to keep her distance and not get soaked. From Pepe to Cedar Chest. (She loves the smell of cedar btw)

I hope this does not come across as morbid but I accept it may be weird to some but we have our old pals ashes with us and I must confess that every day I stroke his casket and talk to him, t.b.h. until I lost my best pal I would never have dreamt I would feel this way.

On the piano. My son added the little shrines. They both used to sit on the landing above and listen to him practice.

My dad has been making calendars with photos of our late dog meepo, who died in November at 17. At least in this day and age, we have 100s of photographs to remember him by.

I burried the remains in the back yard. Turns out the place is visible from many of the windows, and the gate where I come into the house. Yet the dog is not there. The weeds have not quite covered the spot.

While I do not have a photo at present of the grave. I did find this one from when I was fixing the Bocce court. This is the sort of photo that is on the calendar.

I think I turned to the cameras then to the watches when I knew the dog was ill. He lasted six months more than the vet gave him.

I also find it curious when I think about it. That I took an 18 year break from my watch passion. The dog was 17. So perhaps it was the dog that distracted me. Or simply a coincedence.
