So there was drama in the house last night. I love Nutter Butter creme wafer cookies. I usually share them with Murphy. My
wife was at class and I was watching TV with the pups (I’ve been on the couch sick all week). I got up to take a phone call from my brother and when I came back, the cookies were gone and Murphy was nowhere to be found.
I knew exactly what happened

I was horrified, I felt violated- I share the cookies and Murphy decided he was going to take all of them- our friendship has been tested.

Murphy recalled a deeply repressed genetic memory to the time your stone-age ancestor left a bone unguarded when leaving the campfire to relieve himself. There is nothing to forgive, he is just being a scavenger ... errr ... dog. 👍

For the foreseeable future, it appears I’m not going anywhere.

Our female ginger cat,Toots, used to jump on my lap before I went for a ride on my bike on Sunday mornings years ago.
I had a heart rate monitor on and my already slow pulse would drop further when she started kneading with her claws.
I think she considered it her job as the other 3 cats never bothered.

The real McKinley is kneading in my lap as I read this post. He is older now and drools a little while he does it, leaving a wet spot on the tail of my shirt, but I don't mind. Now I have to wonder, is he doing it for his comfort or mine? Cats don't get the credit they deserve.

Neo Update: high-level summary: Neo is doing better!

First of all, thank you all for your kind words and thoughts for Neo! I really appreciate it.

After another (first one was for his anemia) urgent vet visit 2 weeks and a half ago, for another accute nose bleeding period, I'm happy to say that his overall state has much improved.

After the first emergency visit to his vet when he was having anemia, we had to return again as we didn't want him to weaken more.

In the meantime, the final results of his CT scan were negative and no tumor was reported.

The bacterial analysis has shown 3 nasty bacterias were found in his nose (staphylococcus type) that seems to be most likely the cause of his bleeding.

He has now been on antibiotics for 25 days and still at least 2/3 more weeks to go. He is also taking a light blood pressure pill, and a coagulant one too. All in order to stop the bleeding so he doesn't loose strength while the antibiotics do their scientific magic.

We are all happy that he is no more bleeding (only 2 times for a minute, very odd). Everybody is now sleeping better!

His mood and charisma have much improved, he is eating well, and always up to go out shopping or walking to the park.

Feedback from the vet is that we still need to continue for a bit with the treatment due to the nature of the bacterias. We will then be spacing the medicine in a couple of weeks time, before completely stopping them.

That is great to hear. I mean it not good he still has the issues of course but the fact they narrowed down causes and found appropriate meds with a course of treatment. That’s what I was desperately trying to do with hairy but too many things popped up. I really hope this does the trick.

Thank you! We hope too... The only other cause could be fungus if this doesn't work.

For that, he will need to have another rhinoscopy to get some internal samples for analysis.

So far, his treatment seems to be working, so fingers crossed that will solve his health issues

One of our daughters is enjoying a short holiday with her pup in the lake district, hope it stays dry for them 🙁

Meanwhile we are back home and must confess I am really happy to see my wee pal although he seems dead beat 😀

Lovely time with the Pup this morning, starting on training with the training lead and whistle and yes it is early days but I have never had a dog respond so well at such a young age and that includes my working Lab from many years ago 🥰

Glad Neo is better and the pet crew here all seem fine.Old boy and Young girl are in good form but not looking forward to UK Firework night.
I am still aiming to have a semi-forum break (with limited sucess) for a bit to catch up on stuff. We did meet this friendly Doggo on our walk today and I had to make a happy Holloween for the team......

Ran into this doggy while doing a side job. I took a chance and patted him even though he was giving me the look of death. It worked out he was friendly.

Damn I was looking around cause I heard a noise. We have a bunch of boxes out, packing extra things incase we move. I was scared maybe a mouse got in the box but soon found the culprit. A brief fight broke out as Rocky raccoon wanted to get in the box as well but Maharishi yogi established a good defensive position. Edit: box is for some junk my wife sold to some poor schmuck on eBay the moving boxes are full, sorry for the wrong info it was unintentional.

You gotta cut little paw sized holes in the sides. Endless fun.

You should have seen when they were both in at the same time it was quite a sight but Maharishi yogi stood up for himself and said “this is my damn box Rocky raccoon.” I will construct a box with paw holes as I can see the ambushes now. Thanks for the idea. I really need to keep a lot of toys etc. around so I don’t have to spend 20 minutes picking up all the stuff they knocked over when no one’s home, or if someone’s home, doesn’t seem to matter.
