That's not good. Chunky caught mange from one of our local foxes about 2 years ago and I thought he was a goner at one point.

Managed to get shut of the fox and this is now our main visitor. Less harmful to Chunky but can't say the same for my plants and flowers

Cayenne pepper sprinkled liberally on shrubs will keep the deer off them and won't hurt the plants. You can get the mongo size from Costco for a couple bucks. A weekly sprinkle and reapplication after rain will keep you protected.

Sounds something like when the vet suggested we brush our calico's teeth......I showed him the scars on my hands from trying to get her in the catbox and he backed down.
