Hopefully @Trev posts some more pics but he recently did an excellent spot of dumpster diving and scored this lightly used, low mileage, one owner seal point Siamese for only $250 AUD.

Much more personable than the last cat Zamba, so this new one, Brian is now our head of HR and complaints department manager. Anyone upset by the 200 post rule can send their grievance to [email protected].

This was the first time we saw our boy at a Staffie rescue home in Wales May 2014.
He actually weed himself with excitement then rolled over for a tickle.
He joined us for a week then had to go back as we were going for a weeks holiday to Austria.
We were expected some difficulty as he settled but got none.
The first walk after joining us involved mud, speints, rolling over in long grass and a swim then an ice cream later on.
8 years after getting him it has definitely been one ofour best decisions

It is always trouble when you allow a sleepover….. both moggies hiding from the heat in the garage yesterday.
I thought Young Girl was breaking bread however……. It started with a kiss…..but it still, ended with a hiss….

This guy.

A mea culpa: I know I could make my ‘great resignation’ afternoons more productive since full time work won’t be far off. Yet I never tire of simply hanging out with Presto.

Hopefully he's dreaming of food, so when he wakes up he's hungry...okay he's always hungry...

We must move the bed through the day to keep the princess in the sun as much as possible...

On cloudy days she is very disappointed in us!

Zelda, Opus, and Max joined us on a great hike today to the summit of Mt Emmons in central Colorado. Here are a few photos approaching the summit, at the summit, and hastily departing the summit as a storm approached.

Beautiful creatures!

…and the lack of snow…truly frightful.

Snowpack is typically very low by late June, but it was a bad Spring for sure. We started out great in January, and then things got really dry in April and melted like crazy in May. In the chart below, the black line is our statewide snowpack in 2021-22, and the lime green is the median.

Man this kitty sitting at my door like he owns it. I figured it was a bobcat at first as this happened last year with a bobcat. This time just a regular cat hanging out. Never seen him around before.

Do you use drones or you were just at a different elevation. What a beautiful hiking area. (I see a lot of hikers with drones now trying to get cool shots or wildlife)

Good info, not nearly as bad as I thought. Yay!

Haha, no just lots of rolling terrain, and I took some photos from above.

the summit of Mt Emmons
Some of those ridges look awfully narrow - and 12,000 feet up - I have to say all five of you are better, er, beings than me! Wonderful country.

Nothing on this hike was narrow enough to be truly sketchy, the ridges always look worse from a distance. But there was definitely a lot of exposure in many places, and it's always nerve-racking when the dogs run up to the edge, or chase a marmot, or start to walk out on a snow cornice. It was more relaxing on the return trip, because the dogs were tired and mainly stayed right with us.
