I know she looks a bit rough, she pretty much has every ailment a cat can have but sooper dooper looks like she is going to cross the the line and make it to 25 yo. On some days she can polish off three cans of cat food herself. Not gaining weight but weight loss is very slow. It’s really the best I can hope for. Still loves to be patted and drinks my coffee in the morning if I leave it in her reach. We are now approaching 9 years past the vets prognosis of 3-6 months to live. Kinda impressive.

Just shows how important a morning coffee is (despite what the docs tell us ;0)

Tbh a few times I gave her my cup and just made another one. I don’t know if coffee has any benefit for cats but if she likes it that much how much harm can it do at this point? She surprisingly drinks quite a bit of it and it definitely doesn’t keep her awake. I will admit it was a bit annoying early on as I’d be holding the cup sitting down and somehow she would launch a sneak attack and have her head in my cup but I now find it impossible to be mad a sooper for more than ten seconds. She lost her hearing like 5 years ago so “stop that” or bad kitty are words I don’t even bother with anymore.

I didn't have the heart to move her out of my place on the couch. At a certain age, they've earned it.

6:15 am everyone fed getting ready to go I hear loud “meow” almost like a cat in distress walk around the house see what’s wrong hairy sitting on top of the steps looking at me. This is a daily thing I’m pretty sure she is messin with me cause of course I look, make sure she is ok, walk away, then the loud meow starts again. Wtf?

Belatedly started getting the garden in order again with two helpers today… Old boy wanted his morning massage before he was going outside, Young girls idea of helping is sitting on anything I am trying to water or plant… and then dig it up. Old boy was frantic that I sorted out his summer pot (new liner etc) and then spent an hour bedding it in. He was then back to his normal indoor positions (feed me and then collapse exhausted after a hard day in the pot)…….somehow I did get the garden work done… same again tomorrow I suspect ;0)

It has been quite a while but this afternoon my old pal decided he wanted to walk a bit further than usual, in fact he seemed years younger 🥰

Good for him, he’s looking well! I guess you can teach an old dog a new trick.😉
