I have still been fraternising (not too much) as I seem to be the only one who retained a AAA pass for full belly grooming … and she was getting knotted. It has taken a few days but she is now knot free. I am sticking to the no feeding and no in the 'house', so she still heads back to her new home… we are just visited as the salon now I guess - Old boy remains unimpressed....
Yup just did that with sooper dooper almost had enough to make another cat. I’m a little stuck at her legs though there are several smaller hair balls that seem to bother her if I remove them.

We are having a real cold snap, staying below 10 ˚F for two days straight. But even with a very thin coat (and bare on her belly), Zelda doesn't seem too bothered and is always eager to go for a walk. Amazingly, Max goes out through the dog door on his own initiative and relaxes in the yard in sub zero (˚F) temps.

I hope he grows in to the skin as he always reminds me of when I was a youngster at school and we had to wear short trousers and long socks and most of us ended up with our socks down at our ankles 🤦

After the horrible time we had with hairys stuck tongue the other day things have been calm although I have a team of emergency vets on standby in case (god for forbid) the cat gets hairys tongue again. However I’m pretty sure hairy may be going deaf. Usually the first sign is you notice when they meow it’s like a damn scream cause they can’t hear their volume. Hairys age is a mystery I asked one vet and after examining her he said “under 10” mainly using her teeth as a guide. That just can’t be correct. Here she is this AM cleaning her paws in her house while I make noise she if she looks up. I also started sneaking up behind her clapping my hands see if she turns her ears and usually I get nothing but it’s quite possible she is ignoring me. Now sooper has been deaf about 7 years and it doesn’t much effect their quality of life but hunting is out the window as they rely on that to hear mice and moles. So it’s not the end of the world but maybe I should bring her to the vet. (Besides the emergency team assembled) see if there are any interventions or maybe the vet can tell if Hairy is just playing some weird head game which is possible.

If you bop it (the tongue) does it go back in. If there is a tongue ulcer / or tongue bite exposure to air can act like a natural bonjela to stop the sensation. Fingers crossed it might be something simple like that which will pass quickly.

It’s cold and wet so this guy won’t get moving this morning, at least he knows what time it is

When Mrs. S leaves her favorite chair unoccupied, Max quickly appropriates it. He's not always well-behaved, but he's pretty darn cute, and so loving. Hard to resist.

In this increasingly crazy world Old Boy remains a calming touchstone for us... as long as he has some weekend sun on his back and Young Girl is not in the area he is a very happy and contented boy :0)

Never experienced a tail like it, more like a whip 😀
