When I got home yesterday I was too focused on starting dinner I neglected to feed hairy as my first action which is the normal process. I felt a burning feeling on my back and looked over I was getting the “laser food eye” it can go on unbroken for long periods of time. I wish she would at least meow as I can’t help but think she is wondering how I would taste with Chianti and fava beans

My old pal always loved time on a beach 🥰

Weather permitting and his health is ok I am hoping to take him to a beach as soon as 👍

Noticed that Omega uses Sandy's birthday on their demo shots

He is a he! Not a special breed but he was so damn gorgeous! My husband felt in love! He turned 10 last spring . 1/2 white cats with blue eyes is deaf, but he isn't.... Adopted from a shelter and sadly he got there an awful identification tatoo in his cute pink ear! We adopted him when he was 10 months old. .

I have begun “plucking” sooper dooper. At her advanced age her grooming has really gone down hill. I used to use scissors to remove the matted fur but I know find a quick pluck followed by a brushing doesn’t bother her at all. I think she is looking 10 years younger. Here I am about to ambush her with meds after she eats. Also going to run an IV tonight. So basically I’m “plucking and watering” the super dooper I’m not sure if it’s all in my head but she is responding well and I am starting to think she may hit her birthday this year and not even a month ago I was losing hope in that. Wish I thought of plucking prior as she really hates those scissors I just thought pulling out the matted fur would hurt but she actually purrs. Will sooper dooper hit 25 or 26 whatever her B-day Is this year, I’m not sure but it’s looking like a a distinct possibility

Fergus and Charlie standing guard. We have three outdoor cats. I put the cats’ food on the porch right outside the door. We also have a family of foxes that live nearby. They love cat food and will come right up on the porch if food is left unattended. Fergus and Charlie have made their mission to watch over the cats while they are feeding to make sure the foxes don’t muscle in.

It’s time a fess up as I had another “dog incident”. This time no teeth or pain involved but after I worked with the dogs owner he asked me to check it out see if I thought the doggy was health. The dog is ten years old, weighs 75lbs but has no problem going from laying down to standing up, fur coat shiny, I saw no signs of teeth irritation and it’s very happy that’s about the extent of my vet skills so I deemed the dog healthy. Although it’s nails should be clipped. Now here is the rub. At the end of my expert 2 minute dog health exam I took the dogs cactus chew toy and threw it across the living room. I did not realize this 10 year old 75lb doggo thinks it’s a puppy and charged after the rubber squeaky cactus knocking over a small table and sent a flat screen TV that was set up on a cheap stand rocking back and forth. I had to move quick as I’m pretty sure that TV would have toppled probably cracking the screen. The dog can move pretty quick but it appears stopping quick is a different story. So it was my second dog incident this month.
Once I rescued the TV I laughed pretty hard cause doggo brought me the squeaky cactus to throw again and the look on its face was comical after that near disaster. Fortunately the dogs owner was only upset for a minute and he was impressed how I rescued the TV so it all ended well but I need to stop playing with peoples animals like they are mine however it was part of the health exam I conducted at no charge (and no skill) so I think it went quite well.

Little Woodpecker was reluctant to move as I was topping up the feeders. I got closer than ever.
