I closed the laptop, went up and got changed to go out and when I came back downstairs.......

My vet has this convenient system where if you need a med refill you can call and leave a message to fill it. Well I had a bit of an issue with sooper dooper cause my wife thought it was a good idea to give her drippings off the turkey pan. Sooper loved it but I have her on a finely tuned diet and meds as she has cancer somewhere in her stomach and all we can do is manage it. So thanks to my wife I had to clean up a mess a kick up soopers meds for a couple days. About 10 minutes after I left the message for a new IV, prednisone and antibiotics the vet called me back. (The same one who gave her 6 months to live 6-7 years ago) she asked me if I needed to bring her in I said I don’t think it’s necessary she just ate something she shouldn’t have. I then had to hear the “I can’t believe that cat is still alive.” “What is keeping her going.” I’m really get sick of hearing that. The vet reminded me soopers annual is in February and if she makes it she will be going into her 26th year on earth. (I didn’t need to hear the, if she makes it part) I’m not a dummy I know sooper dooper is living on borrowed time I still poke her if she is sleeping too long in one position to make sure she is still with us.

She did pick up a few new habits, she meows several times before eating, using the litter box, walking around, about to drink water or about to lay down on her favorite pillow. At first these meows would send me on a dash make sure she was ok but if I keep doing that I’ll be running all over every 45 minutes or so. So as long as I can keep my wife from feeding her, perhaps she will see 26. My vet needs to chill cause I know cats have lived longer than this.
