My two can tell by body language (or some other sense, maybe they understand human-speak). When my wife and/or I are headed for the couch, they get there first and take the best spots. My larger one goes all limp when I try to move him. It really is comical.

My wife usually sits on the couch, which has a recliner at each end. However the two dogs typically take either end, so she is stuck in the middle seat where there is no recliner...or they take up the whole thing and she ends up sitting on the floor.

I was wise enough to get my own chair, and there's only room for me, so I always have my seat and the dogs are not trying to push me out. Doesn't mean I still don't get some attention, in particular when I have food...

Two years old today, so fortunate to have two great pals but today is the wee boys' day 🥰

The first time we saw him courtesy of the breeder,

Lady 'A' bringing him home and no one is taking him away from her 😀

Finally I get a wee cuddle 😉

And growing up in to a handsome fellow 👍

Not quite sure what came over him ? probably the only place he can be on his own as the wee boy hates water, even jumps over puddles when you are out a walk 😀

Pam & Eric. Brother and sister (not making that up - they're from the same litter) adopted from the RSPCA when they where only kittens. My mother calls them her grandkits. 😀
