·Gee I was getting the evil eye. I fed sooper dooper and kept Hairy waiting to eat. I knew I was forgetting something and I looked down and said “oh yeah”. FYI I’m going back to the pet shop today after work as they have “hand fed baby parrots” for sale. I’m just looking at the cocateils (spelling) as I never had a bird before but my wife is really against it as Hairy is a cold blooded killer. I’m also second guessing myself as I would hate to see something happen. But yeah Hairy is making this a difficult decision. Of course the guy at the pet shop has his cat that loves the birds and the cat lets the birds land on its back telling me it will be fine but he hasn’t met hairy. She’s probably thinking about birds in this picture

·For a big old boy he can go for the big eyes and kitten rolls when he wants fuss and food. For some reason (I always check him over for ticks) I got thinking about his ears. He would certainly look weird without them… but what are those damn cute little pockets for … Henry’s pocket / more formally known as the cutaneous marginal pouch. Unlike his primordial pouch (which swings like a bell when he is on a trot) google has let me down. The pockets are a delicate / complicated bit of evolution … but scientists do not seem to know what they do. His world / senses must be similar and yet so different in a lot of ways to us. I know we are told dogs and cats have super senses but what do they really perceive. No wonder he hates the vacuum cleaner and the smoke alarms :0)

·Little girl looks not too happy with that collar put back on. She keeps licking the wound from last week fix.
Hopefully she’s not putting up too much of a fuss - my pup was neutered about 10 days ago. Luckily, he doesn’t seem overly interested in the incision site nor does he seem to mind (or at least has accepted) sleeping with the cone at night.

·Ended up with a photo shoot for his on/off (mostly off) crush yesterday. Not to get overly anthropomorphic (humming Duran Duran tracks) but she does love the camera. He has made it clear a modeling career is not on his bucket list / he is less than impressed and stayed aloof and cool in the kitchen :0)....
