I hear you... Neo still likes his long morning walks, or the special hikes we do, but time and distance have been reduced. Actually, the terrain has changed... Steep terrains are harder for his arthritis, and we noticed it later in the evening.

Now, he enjoys his time under a bench in the afternoon, watching people go by... So, as much as I loved my long walks with him, now I'm enjoying him differently, reading a book and drinking my tea or coffee with him sitting on the bench.

Today was the first time I was able to steel myself to walk by the site. Thank goodness for our pets who anchor us to reality in times like this, which otherwise seem unreal, when we are fluctuating between shock and grief and disbelief. "Time for my walk, Dad."

That is very sobering. It's like you have captured in one picture both heaven and hell.

A lot of things I'd like to say. Will just say we are glad you are safe and very sorry for your community as well as the country.

It is such a tragedy that should never have happened. I, on this side of the Atlantic, can't understand how it it is allowed to happen, and mainly how the situation hasn't been changed yet despite constant similar tragedies. These weapons are for soldiers, not civilians... Wanna use them, play video games!

Our pets are indeed emotions sponges, and help is going through tough time, do let's give them some back and take good care of them!

Take care and stay safe!

Thanks to both of you, and please understand that the last thing I want is to make this wonderful thread political in any way. I actually didn't consider that before posting. I was just sharing. We are not going to solve these problems on OF.

This is Lola, a street rescue... She has been with us for 3 years now, and she was wild at first...got up on the dining room table like a cat and devoured a treat half her size (intended to be broken up in pieces over time) while we were out . She still is a crazy little thing, but has learned some manners now. She really is a sweet and lovable dog too.

I'm not surprised. Just looking at that photo you can see that she's very full of herself. Whatever Lola wants ... Lola gets.

Ha Ha, we just heard that song the other day on the Alexa shuffle... and yes, it's pretty much true.

This week long walk with Neo took us to Damme (near Bruges) along the canals, originally, built by Napoleon to transport troops and merchandise faster to support the British embargo.

The town church was, unfortunately, bombarded during WWII.

I keep scanning the sky for a crop-duster.

Hope the dog doesn't see a rabbit 馃槜

I was laughing at my wife as she was calling sooper dooper around feeding time. Sooper went deaf when she was 17, so that鈥檚 about six years ago. Then I realized I鈥檝e been doing the same thing all along.
