Took my Billy on his last car ride and trip to the park today. Poor Billy was just wandering now. Stuck in corners, not seeing or hearing much. Before he was suffering from not being able to walk or in pain I took my little dog to get his final rest. 24 years for Billy after somebody decided they did not want his sister Coco and him. Billy and Coco sat in my wife’s lap all the home from her work all those years ago. Came in the house and played chase for hours. Now they can play chase again. A picture of Coco too
Okay, this post is streching the definition of a pet. But when we start naming a critter and look forward to seeing him/her everyday, that's kindof a pet, right?
Couple months ago a spider showed up in our window. What's wierd about it was that my wife and daughter pointed it out. Usually I know there is a spider because there is a loud scream followed by someone yelling for me to come quick and kill it. But I guess because it was outside they weren't freaked out.
Well, we left it alone and soon I started asking how our spider was doing? The normal reply was, he's not our spider. But then I started getting reports, such as our spider caught a moth.
During the day he normally hides up in the corner. At night he moves to the middle of his web smack in the middle of the window. Lately though he's been in the middle of the web during the day. Maybe it's because it's Fall. I was able to take a day time picture of him, which prompted this post.
I have taken to checking on him each day when I go into the kitchen to make coffee because he is in the kitchen window. Then I will look for activity during the day and finally check in on him before heading up at night and locking the doors.
I don't know anything about how long they live or what they do in the winter. I suspect one day he will be gone. Maybe then I will do a little research on the life cycle of a spider. But until that day comes I figure I will just keep checking in with him and see how he's doing.
At least I don't have to feed him or walk him or pick up his poop.

We went today walking in the Belgian Ardennes for s nice 9km promenade along the Warche river. Beautiful weather and region! Obviously, Neo loved it 😀
