The old boys week in review …. eat, sleep, rest and repeat... I use him as a winter thermometer now... when he unwinds I know the heating has kicked in fully.

16lbs, oversized head and cheeks, probably morbidly obese yet he still curls up like a kitten

Last week our vet said that one of our dogs was putting on too much weight. Our fault with poor diet, lack of walks, and with so much going on in our house, I think they were all a bit depressed for a while. Anyways too hard to change the diet for just 1, had to do it for all 4. The first few days they were pissed. A lot of doggie antics. But after a week I can tell they are all a bit more upbeat and have more energy.

Ya, my vet makes fun of Baxter but she is always impressed with the size of his cheeks. I did recently adjust his diet, the vet hasn’t seen him recently I just notice he is really blowing up. I was definitely over feeding him. I leave dry food out all the time and give them canned food at night. I have three cats but recently discovered he was eating 80% of the dry food plus the nightly canned food.

the vet did recommend Prozac for my cat hairy. She really is quite a spazz but she is perfectly fine if everything goes her way 100% of the time, I can’t see dumping chemicals into her just because she is weird. I’m 100% convinced if she was human she would be a substance abuser.

It looks like he finds the bench tasty as well.

In his early days he was like a Beaver, turn your back for a second and a chair leg was missing.

Eddie better be careful, he could end up a thanksgiving centerpiece with an apple in his mouth

Don’t give me ideas

We did give our previous dog Benji (Lhasa Apso) some meds for anxiety. We found that as he aged and eventually started to lose his sight, he was fine during the day, but would become very agitated in the evenings when it started to get darker. He acted like he was having panic attacks and it was difficult to watch him go through that. We tried everything we could to calm him down, but nothing worked.

Once he was on the meds, things improved a great deal...

I was working in the shop when I received a text from my wife - come out with the camera to see Maeve.

While vacuuming my wife put Maeve's clamshell bed on my chair. Few minutes later she was wondering where Maeve had gotten to...well nothing stops Maeve from getting to the clamshell bed...
