I have a friend who trains some rather well known boxers (human boxers that is) who lives in that area, he is always telling me how beautiful is, now I see what he is saying.
Hairy was following around this morning. I had given her some canned food so I wasn’t sure what was up. After her following me everywhere staring at me for 35 minutes or so I figure something must be amiss. Found her dry food bowl, while not empty, was not as full as she liked. Once I filled it to her liking she went about her day.
Have been watching these guys grow the last couple of weeks. The parents were really good, looked after them and kept them well fed.
Having their first looks at the big world..
Thinking about coming out.
This one came out two days ago.
and this one yesterday
Have also been looking after these little guys, one of two. Their parents have been hopeless and we have had to hand feed them.
Hard to imagine that they will turn into this.
Great photos. It looks like he is sleeping with you in some sort of shelter/yurt. Are dogs allowed in mountain huts?
We were camping for a week, so he is in our tent, near the sleeping bags. We had some cool nights 😀
My camping is in a tiny tent since I carry everything with me (and I'm old and have a bad back), but the concept is the same. Zelda carries her own fleece jacket in her pack, but on cold nights, she also gets wrapped in my down puffy jacket, and she lies on a thin piece of foam.
That's brilliant!
We got a big comfy tent, we are quite well equipped, though we usually don't use electricity once set.
We go for long daily walks and come back late afternoon to prepare a good dinner with a good wine !
Thought I lost my pup yesterday. Took Connie to the vet for a UTI. Connie is a owners dog. Other people and she gets uncomfortable and tense. The vet and assistant took Connie in the back for a urine sample. It was taking a while but I figured the vet was only one a duty. So the vet comes back and says Connie has a problem. Vet says they were putting Connie on her back for a urine sample(catheter I assume). Said Connie a had a seizure and stopped breathing. They had her on Oxygen and her eyes were dilated. So I spent the next hour massaging my poor dog and talking to her. Slowly over this hour Connie came out of her unconsciousness. Her eyes were wide open and dilated almost the entire time. I was thinking she had a stroke. The vet was dumbfounded and didn’t know what to offer during this time. Connie came out of it finally and she seems just fine today. She is her old self, but the episode was very unsettling to say the least.
Good to hear she recovered ok. I assume you haven't seen her have a seizure before. How old is she?
We looked into this at one point because Zelda was having some strange episodes and were trying to learn how to distinguish seizures from fainting. One of the main differences is apparently that they recover almost immediately from fainting (syncope), but it takes a while to recover from a seizure, and they can apparently be wonky for the rest of the day. So the progression you saw is probably pretty typical, but incredibly scary. It's even frightening to see Zelda just keel over in a faint, although she recovers super quickly.
She is big and the stress has to be the cause.
Most likely. Hopefully it won't happen again.
Bonnies week in review..
Not a good way to start the week. What do you mean, diet?
Do I have to clean them all?
What is it?
Don't know but it tastes weird.
Still help with the fish
and the greens
Just taste checking, you never know it might be edible.
