Our departed female Whippet Raven was a real lunch stalker...she was always after my lunch... Our new female Maeve has taken up the mantle of being the current lunch stalker....about to pounce: "Is that for me?"
Bonnie is great and it should be obvious by now I’m a crazy cat person (who has also had a German Shepard) but I love seeing your parrot really such a beautiful creature. Twice I was very close to having one but both times the deal fell apart for reasons beyond my control
These two guys playing is amazing. My wife filmed this when I was not there, I would have been too scared thinking that Mango would bite but it appears that he knows not to.
Now yes in a few years if Bonnie hits a decent size Bonnie can snap that bird neck in a flash. Not a nice thought, they are play fighting and will remain friends but I’ve seen my cat take out some massive crows and it took her about a second. Very cool to see them play I hope they become lifelong comrades
Here are some sad facts we must stop cats Domestic cats pounce on from one billion to four billion birds a year in the lower 48, six billion to 22 billion small mammals, and hundreds of millions of reptiles and amphibians.
You have never had a bird like this as a pet I assume? Although we didn't have a Macaw like this (we had a smaller cockatoo), I've interacted with them many times...they are not to be trifled with. Size isn't everything - these birds are orders of magnitude smarter than a cat is.
