selfless acts like making the tough decision that you did require attachment and I wouldn’t want to be unfeeling about such an event; lack of detachment is the central reason you had the ability to love and care, and fondly remember, him the way you do. Maybe another dog will find you, and a new, different chamber in your heart will, slowly and unwittingly, again attach
This was the quote that touched me most when we said goodbye to Jasmine in February. Still miss my girl
Just received the latest bill from the vet today for my old pal, £470GBP and worth every penny to see him happy and pain free and his fourteenth birthday not far away
This is fair dinkum true, may Huey strike me down if I am lying, I was in town one Saturday dropping off some hay to a hobby farmer whilst out the back yard she of the house was hanging out the washing, her black cat was resting about 10 meters away, we all heard the whoosh, bloody big wedge-tailed eagle dropped out of the sky, picked up the cat and flew off, she was screaming, I must admit, I was laughing so hard it was just so funny at the time. And I like cats.
I lived in SoCal in the early 90s and we had a really tiny Chihuahua (3-4 lbs) at the time. I was always on the lookout for predators. Coyotes are also incredibly prolific across almost the whole US, and they take a lot of small pets.
That looks like a vulture. They pick over the carcass after the critter has met its demise. You may all go out and play.
@killer67 why pull off random hedgehog pictures off the internet and pass it off as your pet? Very strange behaviour Here's the pic of him eating watermelon you posted the other day which was uploaded to Youtube in 2014
My area is loaded with various hawks. On occasion we will get warnings in the paper about not letting small animals out. Fortunately it seems full grown cats are a little too big for them but kittens and puppies are in their wheelhouse
My wife and I were out on the back deck a while back. We heard frantic wing flapping - big wings. Turns out some Turkey Vultures were nesting in a large tree at the back of our property, and the fledgling was just taking his first few tentative flaps. Grabbed the camera and 300mm lens, and managed to get a couple of shots through the branches... Hey, mind your own business!
Awesome, is that the first horse here? Do you own him? What’s his/her name? I’ve only ridden a handful of times but what a great time it is.
