Back in action, lost some weight which was no bad thing.

Came across this photo of Emma, who we recently had to put down....one of four cats our our son Ethan brought home “temporarily” eleven years ago when he was twelve and working for an animal rescue
group. Needless to say, “temporarily” evolved into “permanently”.

 

Here I am nearly 30 years ago as a young plainclothes police officer. I delivered this cougar to a zoo and the person responsible for big cats (cougars are not considered big cats) freaked out when she saw me handling it this way. They did not trust cougars at all. The cougar had been kept illegally as a pet and the neighbourhood parents were understandably concerned. I had better hair back then. Now I have better shoes, watches and judgement!

I thought about trying to keep this guy out of the mud, but I was too slow... only a water hose can save him now...

 

We had a couple of Spring storms this week. Zelda not bothered.

The wee boy on his afternoon stroll, I am always so appreciative of how fortunate I am to have such lovely countryside to walk with the boys and yet only a matter of a few minutes walk from home.
