Welcome to Niner, it's great to add another Boxer to OF's best thread.
So sorry about Kaya and Boogie. Bad enough to lose one dog at such a young age, but to have to wait for that second shoe to drop, that must have been unbearable.
We went through a scare with Zelda last year when she started to have fainting episodes. Based on the symptoms, it seemed overwhelmingly likely to be the Boxer ARVC. Even the cardiologist started talking to us about possible treatment right away after hearing about the fainting. But after an echocardiogram and Holter monitor, she was amazingly cleared. Her heart is fine, and strong. The tentative diagnosis is a bit sketchy, but since we've ruled out the most dangerous possibility, it's easier to live with the occasional episode, and actually things seem better now. She has only fainted once in the past six months. She is our third Boxer, and our other two had good life spans.
Here she is with our Ridgeback, Opus, who thinks Zelda is his mother. And also a sunbathing shot from last summer during a backpacking trip.
