Life with dogs...

Woke up to the sound of Remi puking this morning...seems fine now, so as dogs sometimes do he probably ate something outside that didn't sit well yesterday.

Happens all the time unfortunately. I've had it happen in the middle of the night in the tent while camping, in the car while driving, you name it. They're scavengers ... but they're OUR scavengers.

When you have six cats, that is a fairly regular alarm clock.

My wife and I just spent the last 6 or 7 hours re-upholstering this 8 foot high cat tree I originally built 17 years ago. I am the first to admit to not being handy, but when we got our first Bengal cat, my wife wanted to buy a similar cat tree online for $499.99. With the thought of saving nearly $500 I can and did get very imaginative and handy. There are 3 2X4's and carpet remnants in the construction. I had one 2X at the house from when we bought it, my father in law gave me a second and I bought a third at the hardware store for $3.14, including the tax. I got the rounds from work from shipping container ends. We have now had 5 or 6 cats partake in scratching on it, sleeping on the perches, and playing king of the hill from the top perch, fending off other feline adversaries. And no, I will not make you one not for $3.14 or even for $499. LOL

The real McKinley at the top.

It is beautiful work and I am sure the cats love it. All for approximately pi dollars.

these animals, Area 51 escapees?
Here is a real escape. My brother’s Barbet (French Water Dog) did not want to stay inside her cage... not sure if she was injured...
