Couldn鈥檛 resist putting this picture up. Up until recently I鈥檝e only had short haired cats. I always assumed cats hair was genetically programmed to stop growing at a certain length. A couple years back I had to rescue this cat from a relative who has Alzheimer鈥檚, my first long haired cat and I have learned that not all cats are genetically born with neat hair, she is a walking furball, or in this case a furball catching rays

Not a clue what he was looking at ?

That is an amazing building in the background. May I inquire where it is.

Scotland.

More precisely, Linlithgow Palace https://www.visitscotland.com/info/see-do/linlithgow-palace-p252271

The similar(-ish) Scottish building in the "Trojan Rabbit" clip I posted is Doune Castle.
https://www.historicenvironment.scot/visit-a-place/places/doune-castle/

In days when these were built the distinction between "Palace" and "Castle" was slight, perhaps one had a little less fortification than the other, but fortification was necessary for both.

Inca is now eight months old, and is a wee topper. I have taken her out on a couple of shoot days, under Very Close supervision. She has been fine, works well, and has retrieved Pheasants, Mallard, and Partridge.

The old lady is still going strong.

The youngster will be working properly, come next season.

I always worry about hearing protection for the dogs. Silly, or justified?

Back in the day we never wore ear defenders and everyone seemed to hear me just fine when it was my round at the bar 馃榾

Back in the day when we were teenagers hunting by ourselves in Louisiana we didn't find the .410 shotgun and .22LR with 20" barrel to be too loud either. But boy is my 12 ga LOUD.

So many beautiful cats on the forum that my good lady is really starting to wonder how a cat would get along with the boys ?
Personally I have no knowledge of cat ownership but from having met quite a few over the years I do wonder if the cat chooses you rather than the other way round ? On several occasions over my working life on encountering some cats they would immediately hide whilst others would come to me for a cuddle 馃グ
Perhaps just a gamble ?

Go for it! We never planned on having a cat. It did indeed choose us!

I forget who said that you feed, shelter and love a dog, they think you're God . You feed shelter and love a cat, they think they're God.
