·Lucky dog. I see your dog likes the Tarp Tent. We have one to... they are great lightweight shelters.
If it has been a long day, she loves to get right into the tent as soon as it is pitched. I used to have a TarpTent, which was great. This one is a Zpacks Plexamid, which is more of a modified pyramid style that pitches with one trekking pole. It's for one-person, but because of the pyramid shape there is extra room for gear (or a medium-size dog) in the middle compared to a tent with a rectangular footprint. It has the usual disadvantages of a single-wall tent, but it's super light and I've pretty much learned how to use it effectively.

Sammy will be fast asleep and growls and barks in his sleep all the time. Is he chasing something? Fighting over food ?
Quite a vocal little guy. If I wake him up, he has that look of surprise or “hey I almost had it”
Yep, our dogs do that too. I always imagine that they are dreaming of actually catching the rabbit or squirrel that they work so hard to do in the yard.
