Stan enjoyed the breezes we had yesterday, he ' found' a tree.

Was gutted it didn't fit through the front door.

Strangely, our Rhodesian Ridgebacks have all had bad superficial reactions to mosquito bites. The bites don't really seem to bother Opus or make him itch, but they look absolutely awful. This is how he looked shortly into a recent camping trip, while our Boxer and our friend's Lab showed no signs of bites. Fortunately, we had some flea and tick spray, which seemed to protect him from the mosquitos, and the welts went away overnight.

@Dan S I recently “met” a Ridgeback visiting a friends house. The dog came running to the fence as I came in and I saw the raised hair and thought it was being super aggressive. Lol, my buddy had to explain they are always like that and it’s a trait if the breed. Awesome dogs.

A Ridgeback running at you could be a pretty intimidating sight, with or without the raised hair. Opus is not large for a Ridgeback, but even so he is a pretty substantial 85 pounds.

Absolutely. He has two large labs and the Ridgeback, yelled “they are friendly” at me as I see one in particular charging with his hair up.

Here’s a strange phenomenon when I hold up treats. The boy in the back always has long perky ears upright throughout the day, and he folds them when looking at the biscuit. He’s bad, will take a finger off if your not careful.

Girl in the front always has here ears folded, raises them only in anticipation of a treat and takes it so unbelievably softly from my hands.

With the jaws and legs needed to drag half a tree along and that mad look in the eye I reckon that dog could take on a crocodile. Medium size, possibly not a fully grown. He'd have a go though I expect.

@MRC He would likely have a go, our theory is he likes the work out. Even if you offer him a normal stick sized stick he turns his nose up and find something, well, like this...
13 kg of solid muscle , brains and belligerence. If he was any bigger he would be too much.😁
