I my as well claim it here. I may have the oldest dog in the world right now. Unofficially of course. We got Billy when my youngest son was 5. In about a month Nick will be 27. There is 22 and Billy was at least a year old when my wife brought Billy and his sister Coco home from work one day. The “owners” did not want them any longer. So my claim is that Billy is about 23 years old. Unfortunately, I am still building fires here in the northeastern U.S. At least the monsters still appreciate it.
Prim on a sunny afternoon deciding she doesn’t want to be a sheepdog. Edit: don’t know why these look so fuzzy. They’re pretty crisp on my phone.
Looks like Remi to me. And it looks like he is a vegetable eater like our dogs, who run into the kitchen when they hear my wife cutting up kale and brussel sprouts.
Yes that's Remi, and yes he's a kitchen stalker no matter if it's me or my wife who is doing the cooking. The most common treat we give our dogs is a piece of carrot. Second would be an ice cube - dogs love chewing on ice cubes, and it's certainly a low fat/low calorie treat! Raven would stalk me for my lunch veggies all the time... Maeve will come up to us at the dinner table and rest her head on our laps while we are eating...trying to break her of this habit actually...
My little man who left this world nearly a year ago. Still brings a tear to my eye looking at his photos.
The whippet/terrier cross we had when I was a teenager loved raw carrots. As he was a common companion when I got my first camera there must be photos somewhere in the boxes holding 50 years of photos...
Well, very sad to report that so soon after losing Siegfried, we lost his little brother Cornelius today. The vet said that he quite literally died of a broken heart. Mrs P and I are devastated. Cornelius was the rebel to Siegfried’s gentle giant (some might remember that he made a good attempt to remove my fingers at one point) but we loved him all the more for that. He was a very ‘knowing’ cat and without doubt much the smarter of the two and we will miss him so very much. Some pics in his memory (he liked boxes too)
