Here are some more (pretty bad) photos in natural light. My rookie eye thought it looked pretty charming 😀

Movement was easy to wind and everything started/stopped as it should. The only thing that I noticed was that the crown wasnt as smooth in the opposite direction than winding it. My previous 861 -74 speedy felt a bit smoother even in the opposite way. Should this concern me?

although the lighting of your pics isn't ideal, i think it looks better IRL than the first pics you showed.

dial looks pretty good. hands are of varied lume, but ok. pushers look original. case is ok, but shows some remnants of the lug facets of CB case. DON bezel is pretty good.

crown is service replacement and caseback hippocampus is extremely worn.

i'd bet it goes for more than double the estimate you posted of $4000-6000

Given the overall condition, and absence of a bracelet, $12k would be a foolish price to pay IMO. I do think it could go to $8k USD.

Any opinions about the crown that was smooth to wind the movement, but a bit more hacking feeling to it in the opposite way?

I think when you buy a watch like this, you should automatically factor in the cost of a full service.

Gasket in the crown might be bunching up a little when you turn it backwards. A new crown would fix that, or sometimes a skilled watchmaker can change the gasket without destroying the crown.

I think it is a $6000-$6500 watch. The overall case condition is a little tired. The CB bevels are still there but they are softened either by time or a past polish. The bezel, while not unattractive, has a flat spot in the ring at the 85 position. That would bug me. I would like to see it come with a bracelet. Sourcing a time frame correct bracelet will cost an additional $1500-$1800. At that price I think the cost will out-way the value especially with a service added.
On the positive side, examples like this make great daily wearers. It isn't a safe queen.
This is mine in the condition when purchased.

With a sourced DON.

Something curious. The OP's sweep hand has the same lume color differential as my watch. M/H hands lume greyish and sweep hand lume creamy.

Will definitely serve as a daily wearer if I manage to purchase it. I have my max bid wrote down in the back of my head 😉

The aucion took place today and the watch sold for around $6940 inlcuding fees. A good price for this kind of watch, but I didn't want to bid at these levels for a watch in this condition. The hunt continues for a 145.012-67 which was on my radar from the beginning anyway😀

Thank you all for all the replies in this thread, I really appreciate it. I'll see you on other parts of this great forum 😀

apparently... for some reason, the davidoff brothers seem to always come up with watches that are too good to be true. don't get me wrong, some ofnyhem look honest, but it seems touched up al most always to me...

I agree most -66's in general features the "wide T" dial but I have seen CB examples before with "narrow T". MWO states it to be found in a -66 as well but rare.

Found this one from Davidoff. Apparently it came from the original owner and looks very original and honest.

A fair price.

I would try and get a watch with bracelet if I were you, even if you don't use it. Period correct bracelets are getting very pricey. You'll get better value buying one with a watch than separate.

This is my 145.012, battle scarred but I love it. I have since sourced the correct end links.

An honest daily driver with signs of service. A good thing. The patina is the wildcard as to auction finish, I think. It's not the most attractive dial, but it could be much worse. I would also expect closer to 10k depending on who is watching the sale. For 7k or less, it's good buy. If you're open to a 145.012, you could get more for your money in basically the same watch/history.
