What is a holiday watch? Something worn on a holiday?

The Khaki is a nice choice. I have one. On fabric. Nice and sturdy field watch.

Dont have a tissot. So cant say.

But for a holiday, i’d get a watch that will help me track at least two time zones.

And if the holiday involves some swimming, i would pick a dive watch.

Best 4/500 you can spend. On the rubber strap for the pool and then a NATO at night or bracelet. Lug holes to make it easy to swap.
Absolute gem of a watch.

With a similar requirement I went for a Hamilton, threw away the supplied strap and put it on a cheap NATO that can be quickly removed to wash clean of sweat / sun-block and will dry overnight. I've tried watches with bracelets in the past, but getting them clean is a pain, either that or can't wear them on hot days.

The wrist belongs to a friend who passed away not that long ago. He convinced me to buy him the watch with this photo. Hope you're in peace my friend 🙁

That watch does indeed look as if it fulfilled a ‘summer watch’ design brief - fantastic. I can hear the The Beach Boys now,.. Sloop John B

My thoughts exactly. It seems like the perfect watch to take on holiday. Thanks

Wow I like that Seiko!!!

I also looked for a holiday watch. Since I don't want to bother much about replacing batteries before holidays, it must be automatic for me. Also, I must always consider swimming, so reliable waterproof is a must. Then the possibility that one gets mugged in a place where you are not familiar with the safe and non safe places, results in an easy to replace watch (affordable in price and the actual market). At the same time, having very accurate watches for work and home, I expect a decent level of accuracy from the holiday watch so I don't suffer much feeling "mecanically severely downgraded".
Apart from this, it must be nice but not too blingy.
Where I live, I'm surrounded by swiss watches and very rare to see non swiss ones in the stores.

So I came out with this:

It’s a beautiful watch. Just a tad too big for my tiny wrists
