Collaboration with "the furthest thing from it[Omega]". (Quote from Ben Clymer on OF during Basel discussion)

JLC would be my bet...
Yeah they first came to mind not a lot of companies I could imagine partnering up and wanting to have HODINKEE on the timepiece.

I really liked the El Primero collaboration. $7,800 was pretty decent value, in my opinion. JLC seems like the best guess... if they did some kind of Geophysic (I'm a huge fan of the 1958 and still lust after it daily) or Memovox collaboration for under $10k I might be all over it.

Glashutte Original is my long-shot guess.

Thinking a bit more about this, what is the furthest thing from Omega? An independant maybe? Like Moser?

Too mainstream for Moser. Moser recently has been making watches that no one would ever want, then asking ridiculous prices so people buy them to be different. ::looks at the Apple Watch clone::

Whatever it is, it's going to be laughably overpriced like anything from hodinkee.

Agree on JLC a likely contender. Taking Ben Clymer at this word...GO is part of the Swatch group...perhaps a bit too "close" to Omega?

So far we have had:
Oct 2016 Zenith
Feb 2017 Vacheron
Apr 2017 ....

Is this going to happen every quarter, every 3-4 bloody months Ben, seriously?? is the dink aiming for an IPO LOL? I think They are going to run out of worthwhile brands soon. As these are very small limited runs, they have to be at least at or above Omega, Zenith, Rolex, JLC, IWC level to make a profit, right?

I can see them going through this list by the end of 2018 (not in any order of preference):
JLC
Chopard
Parmigiani
Piaget
Ulysse Nardin
GP

What's the opposite of Omega?

Alpha?
Oh I got my eye on you, @Alpha ! You, you.... you opposite of Omega!! 馃槈

Just saying it would be ever so lovely to see 'dink come out with an LE that isn't for the 1% of the 1%, and in a quantity that all us filthy unwashed could at least spend a millisecond contemplating jumping into. More of-a-kind-like-Nomos and far, far less of the my-how-VC-has-fallen varietal.

They already did a Nomos collaboration didn't they? The Metro Chronometer?

Aw, crap.
