·They increased the prices again. Timex/Waterbury is $120 now.
Kinda wished I grabbed that at $69, not a bad beater.

I wonder if the books will keep getting cheaper...flightmaster only is on sale for $52 right now, marked down after I bought it for $95 😵💫
not bad for $60 tho a little more substantial than I prefer.
Well, because of these photos I just bought one and a copy of Flightmaster Only.
So much for resisting the sale 🤦 😁
Gonna press my luck and wait. A book on the history of the Polerouter would be awesome... But not for $162.
There is an office furniture store in a strip mall nearby that has been CLOSING-EVERYTHING MUST GO- LAST CHANCE- for the last 25 years.
The Polerouter book has been on my list for a while, I admit, but have been too cheap to buy it 😬 knowing full well it’s worth the original ask. I’ve just had good luck with picking up a number of books on my list at pretty good deals. Like you, I’m gonna hold out for another flash sale hoping they are a bit more desperate to clear house 😁 but I know full well it’s already on a sizable discount… $162 compared to:
Well they have a "flash sale" going on now and I picked up several of the timex Waterbury editions for gifts...palatable at $69 not so much at $279 (which is what I think the msrp originally was a few yrs ago)...
Subdued Hodinkee branding, maybe kinda some Explorer-ish vibes, no date window, nice leather strap. 40mm is a bit big but manageable.
Well if they had not messed up my last strap purchase I guess I would try the books but being abroad I don’t trust them anymore with customs and delivery… sad as - as everyone - I have nothing against a good deal.
