This is my mind raises many questions. I have informed the seller, wondering what others think.
Early 1950s dial/ handset (late 40s perhaps) on what AFAIK is a model mostly produced in the mid to late 1930s.

The fact it is sold as “oversized” and the rarity of such sizes of course increases incentives for creative restorations.

Without getting into details, the crown is also incorrect for the model.

And finally, the “Longines” signature might deserve closer scrutiny.

Thoughts anyone else?
Best regards

Either it's dirt or there are multiple minute markers between 2 o clock and 3 o clock, there's a large oil mark/stain in the middle, seconds hand is bent, the 6 o clock marker isn't a big triangle like its counterparts, and case is polished rather over zealously.

I vote redial as the running seconds indicators are also of different thickness.

Any movement/caseback pictures? How is the watch advertised on IG?

Agree. Dial just looks wrong. The ”Longines” font just seems slightly off too.

I’m examining this through my inexperienced eyes , but Longines branding looks off (very err spidery) and the 30 sec marker on the subdial is a mile out of line with the six o’clock marker - the evidence seems to suggest a redial

Interestingly there is no picture of the movement posted on the seller’s website.
To be fair the $2600 asking price for a 37mm Longines with a flat bezel clearly factors in some issues. But the lack of disclosure is always disturbing.

Redial for sure.
To me the Longines signature was the most glaring sign.

Woof...
What does that mean ? 😜
