A whole PhD in gender studies could be based on the examination of how gendered watches were presented in Hamilton catalogs from 1920-1970.

Especially when you consider that most American made men’s wristwatches produced prior to 1925 had ladies pocket or wristwatch movements inside.

I have a ladies 986A wristwatch myself. Hamilton used the same movement in their men's watches at the time and as far as I can tell, the only difference was that ladies watches had a case option to attach a chain bracelet.

TBF, I was annoyed when the forum switched to forcing you to sign up to view the catalogs.

Not “his & hers” as in “husband & wife” but in this scenario it’s “father & daughter”. Our oldest [Hannah] and I attended the AWCI Build A Watch course in early 2018 and we each built [and purchased] ETA 6497-1 fliegers. It was a splendid time being able to attend the three day course with our daughter! 👍

They aren’t identical, but they are close enough to be cousins. Hers, the driver, was Christmas present from Santa, mine, the chrono, a birthday present this past year.

Would be a cold day in hell my wife settled for a Timex while I rocked a Tudor. The mere suggestion would have the Timex sailing into my forehead and the Tudor confiscated off my crumpled body.

Ha. Would be a cold day in hell if my wife settled for a Tudor. It’s all relative. I get your point though. From an optics perspective my wife usually has everything that is a step above mine lol.

Any suggestions for other Omega his and hers matching watches? The speedmaster and seamaster above are nice but the wife does not care for the black dial. So I have seen blue devilles and multiple constellations, and the wife does like the blue dial Devilles. Are there any other his and hers watch "sets" out there?

Only a couple of Seikos here but to be honest if she feels inclined to take off the Garmin she makes a beeline for MY ‘69 Airking.

You beat me to it. Our bracelets are in the drawer and we switched to leather for a change. We bought new from our local AD in 2008.
