You sure you are not confusing Buzz with Collins? Never seen Buzz wearing a Rolex. Collins wore a Rolex Turn-O-Graph at times during training for Apollo 11.

He remains the only human being to have flown two different types of winged vehicles in space: X-15 rocket plane and the Space Shuttle. A total of 6 official individual NASA portraits were made of Joe Engle... on his first (1971) and on his last (1986) he was wearing an Omega Speedmaster chronograph

Here's something you don't see everyday: an electronics wiz on a quest to re-create cutting-edge 1960s technology -- the DSKY display for the Apollo Guidance Computer.
