Hi friends! I'm brand new here and this is my first post.
I just got into the world of vintage Omegas just a month ago (feels like I was missing out) just to do some research for a gift for my dad. But then realized that I want one for myself as well.

Here's are some images of a Constellation Piepan from a seller that I found and I was wondering if it looks good. Seller claims that all parts are original, dial not polished and untouched.
I did some research and I think it passes the MOY test and everything looks right for my newbie eyes but just wanted a second eye before making any decisions.

Also what do you a reasonable price is for this?

Thanks in advance!

I am far from an expert, but the lugs appear to have been polished. The watch is in fair condion IMO, and my guess its worth about $ 1,200 max

Welcome @no1supermonkey

the dial looks to be pretty good.
Some degradation of the lume in the hands
The case back looks to have been ‘turned’ - perhaps to remove an inscription.

the BOR bracelet is a bonus.

@Ravineman is correct - The case has been quite heavily polished and the lugs have pretty much lost their upper facets altogether. (The most important feature of a dogleg case)

it’s often easier to tell us what the seller is asking rather than us suggest a value.

hope that helps.

Thank you very much for your input! Yes, I realized that the lugs have been a bit overpolised.

Thank you for your input. Really appreciate it.

For the price, its currently bidding for around $1080 USD.
Do you think its worth bidding anything here?

it rather depends on what you are after.
If this is the beginning of collecting Constellations and a ‘bookmark’ until you find a better one then you may like to make a bid.
If you want to buy an overall good example to keep then no, it’s not worth bidding.

(IMHO it’s already passed it’s bookmark price)

Buy this one instead even though the other one was quite nice aswell. The really good ones will be harder to find and this is a really good one
Looks great indeed. I was hesitant on buying overseas but I might send him a PM. Looks too good to pass
