I think today confirmed i am a obsessed with Vintage Speedmasters!. My watch repair man called me and asked if i was ever going too collect the 145.012 thats been sitting in his workshop since he completed it in July!!!.

And i can honestly say i cannot remember when or where i bought it!

In my defence it has been with him for 6 months but i honestly cannot recall how it became mine!

I went and picked it up straight away.. Photography is not my best skill Tbh but i will get some pictures done in next few days. issue is now my storage case is full so i will have to buy another one (case that is)

I wish I had so many Speedmasters that I could forget one left in service.

I still need to find a good watch repair man.

I use Steven Hales in Bushey Hertfordshire UK have for years

Well… maybe it wasn’t yours, that’s why you didn’t recall? 🤣
100% mine as they get you to sign a receipt whe you drop it off. They did service 11 for me in the last 18 months and its hard too keep track .

Please show all your 105.003s. And please show the eleven other Speedmasters you got in the last 1.5 years. I can live vicariously through you since they are too costly for me to buy more. Mine were all accumulated between the late 80s and 2010 ish. This is a pretty solid 145.012. That spot on the bezel is heartbreaking. The hands are service replacements. I guess you don't know if they were just changed...or if it had hands at all when you found/bought/stole/divined it. As for not knowing you bought a watch then submitted it to be serviced and have no memory of it....that's a little strange. Are you over age 75? You might want to get checked out by a pro. I'm joking....not really.

I did not buy 11 speedmaster in the last 1 1/2 years. I had 11 serviced over that period.

I know the hands are service ones. They were almost certainly on it when sent in as Hales would never change anything.without speaking to me.

As too the bezel mark. Its not so in your face in real life.

Will defo get some pictures done of the 105s

So...do you have other episodes of lost time or events? If you forgot you bought and took a watch worth several thousand in for service...just 6 months ago...it's likely you are having other memory gaps. Has this been an issue before? If I had a similar experience, I'd be checking with my doctor. It's not quite like forgetting the name of a new acquaintance or the date of a party, etc. This is quite another thing you're describing. Are you not concerned?

😄 Nothing wrong with memory , counting probably. I did not buy the watch 6 months ago it went into service 7 months ago ( found receipt) . It could have been in the last 10 years or so i actually bought the watch.
