Hi, everyone! Omega Seamaster Calendar

I recently purchased an Omega Seamaster Calendar 2849.12 Cal.503 before doing any research…..

Obviously I’m paranoid now and I would appreciate it if anyone can help verify the authenticity.

Side note, my watchmaker said it looked legit…

However, I’m also relying on the experience on this community to help verify.

My biggest gripe is the crown, it is Omega, but I believe this model should have a “clover” crown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don’t worry about crown looks like vintage service

Hello! I would concur, looks legit for a 2849. Obviously in need of TLC. Make sure the case isn’t polished at your watchmaker, but it needs an ultrasonic clean clearly. Can’t see any ref on the end links for the bracelet. Not an expert here but it looks good nonetheless.

Correct ref. is 42023 which is slightly different. If it bothers you, perhaps your watchmaker can get one and install it. Alternatively check the Parts section here. It personally wouldn’t bother me. In any case, be aware near water (no matter the crown!).

Patina is always discussed here on the forum but I like the look of your watch very much

Will look great after cleaning (no case polishing) and plexi polish, enjoy!

Originally went up in an auction out of Japan.

Then was relisted and I happened to have stumbled upon it and the last sec I entered a bid and won! 😀
