Too slow 😜😜😜
To be fair there still are another couple of refs it could be but a caseback shot and a good idea of the diameter will narrow it down.
What other refs could it be? 😀
Well I was thinking 2767 was a possibility if it had a push on back, and I think there were some smaller case fat lugs too. Just when I think I've got my head round 1950s Seamasters, another variation pops up!
Bearing in mind the screw on back and reported ~34mm size, it's most likely a 2577 though. I think strictly speaking the 2577 is usually described as 35mm exc crown.
I guess we're not discussing the refinished dial?

I believe that there are some case shapes that changed refs. during the production run - I believe that the 2494 had a identical predecessor with a different reference number for instance.
I don't know if there is a 2577 predecessor, but most of the 'not-a-ref-2577-34/35mm-Seamasters' are post 2577 and have the newer Omega logo - the logo on this one is the earlier type that was discontinued around 1953. The earlier type of logo means it can't be a full rotor movement, so no 2846/2848 either.
