hi good evening I found various Heuer buckles from the 60s but those contemporary with respect to the copies have or do not have stamps on the back, I attach an example

I believe originals have the sun sign. But even then there are loads of fakes around.

Credo che gli originali abbiano il segno zodiacale. Ma anche così ci sono un sacco di falsi in giro.

I hope this doesn't take this particular thread too far off track, but I'm wondering if anyone here has an opinion about the authenticity of this:

https://vintage-sinn-collector.com/en/sinn-128

The story is plausible, and the guy is obviously a passionate collector - but - I've never seen a picture or word about them apart from his site. It's something I'd love to add to my collection some day if it actually exists.

This lovely Carrera got sold on an auction this week,
Reference 2447, and with the very rare "eggshell dial"!

The condition of the dial was not the best (but now we are picky...😉),
a few minor black spots and also some lumeloss.
But they very seldom come up for auctions, and the rest of the watch was in a very nice condition.
People wanted this one, and it flew way over the estimate, and landed at 12200 € / 14200 $ including the premium.

Why did the auction house post extremely over-exposed pictures? I hope someone here bought it and will post pictures in hand.

My 2447T eggshell/red metallic track

And a posting of early dials from Heuer.

What a lovely 2447!
👍👍👍

And we have two larger auction houses here in Sweden, and both of them love to take this kind of pictures...
Really hard to assess them with these pictures...🤨

Buying an eggshell dial from those pictures would make me extremely nervous. It could be a good representation but the pics are very bright and condition of the dial is everything with these.

I myself went to the viewing, but totally forgot about this one since I was drooling over the Speedys!
