Hi Forum People!

I have searched the OF, and I cant really find any dedicated threads about the Heuer Carrera?
So why not start one??

I did a post about a year ago regarding serial numbers for the Heuer Carrera,
and I noticed that there where many members who both had Carerrras, and also info regarding these.
So please do share your watches, watch related stories, info and other nice stuff that we all love.

And I will kick-start with my latest purchase!

I have been looking for a nice Carrera for some time,
and both the double and trippel sub registers are beautiful watches.
They come in a variety of dials, colours and combinations.
Not to mention different batches/editions.
This one has a manuell winding movement, the Valjoux 92.
Serial nr 66956, so with some luck it might be a 1966 (My birth year!).
Reference nr 3647S.
The dial is almost perfect, there are a few black marks/dirt on the surface, and hopefully these could be blown/cleaned away during a service.
The lume plots are almost complete, there are one or two that has lost some lume…
The crystal is scratched, and will be polished during the upcoming service.
Pushers looks too clean, so maybe replaced at some time?
I have asked the Forum before regarding the crown, and for this reference/serial nr, it should be unsigned.

The case and case back are in a very nice condition, the edges are still sharp, and no major dings or scratches.

I do hope that you Guys and Gals will contribute with your Heuer Carreras?
Looking forward to your posts!

Cheers and Enjoy!

My 3647S Carrera, long since left my collection as I moved onto Camaros. Slightly earlier than yours Hans as mine had a 61xxx serial, ‘no T’ dial and unsigned crown.
Lovely watches.

I sold this 3647N with a Meister signature recently... Gone but will never be forgotten.

Technically this one could be called a Carrera even though the dial shows the watchmaking school of Solothurn. From what i understood, it was an end of studies project that featured the same case, dial and GF bracelet as the 1153S reference. Curiously, it also comes with a Hamilton Cal.12 which was correct and in concordance with similar examples found online. Pretty neat! 😀

Best regards, Stefan.

My humble 1553n with a Cal 15. It's a gift from my father, who bought it used years ago to add to his collection. Replaced the fly-back lever, crown and pushers, got it a nice strap, and it's got a forever home in my collection.

Nice watch, and a lovely story also!
Did you source a Heuer buckle? I am looking for one.....and these are hard to find!

I had the strap already ordered, so I needed something quick to complete the watch. Found one of these newer buckles, where both the shield and the inscriptions on the back look weird, at least compared to some examples I've seen in forums. Not sure what these are, but I'm not overthinking it for the moment. In short, I'm also looking for a decently priced 16mm buckle.

Sorry for the double post, but looked a bit around for the buckle I have. According to billshaine's eBay product page, these are recently produced by Tag Heuer for their commemorative models. At least, it appears, they're not downright fakes.
