This Beleta chronograph was issued by the Belgian airforce in the 40s. It features a cool dial with a telemeter and a snail type tachy.

The markings on the case back stand for 'Aviation Militaire Belge' which was the name of the air arm before the airforce was founded in 1946.
6B234 is the British marking for a pilot's watch which makes sense because Belgian pilots served in the RAF during WW2 and the airforce was created to the example of the Royal Air force.

Awesome watches. Just one question none of the watches seem to have fixed band bars?

Beautiful watches and very interesting!

There seems quite a variation in hands between 1st issue Pontiac's ?
(Assuming Jim Jupiter's Pontiac was also Belgian Airforce issued)

Below an example that was sold 2 years ago by a Belgian member of the Dutch watchforum;

This is @shishy 's watch.

I know of 3 different hand configurations, arrow, pencil and syringe.

There's also a difference in the text on the dial.

Yup, that Pontiac was the first vintage watch I ever bought.

Here's a picture, for fun.
