路After some digging in the army archives and a lot of emailing with the original owner, I picked up this set a few days ago : a Heuer Carrera 7753 and a Pontiac, both issued to the same air force pilot who flew a combined 9000hrs with these watches. Both are powered by the valjoux 7733. The Belgian air force issued 3 watches to my knowledge, first a Pontiac with a Spillmanlike case, then the Heuer in the early seventies (70-73) and after that this Pontiac.
Some pictures :
F.A茅 stands for Force A茅rienne which means air force in French and LuM stand for luchtmacht which is the same in Dutch. The long serial is the NSN (nato stock number) and the 70/112 is the year of issue and number of this watch.
I already owned a 'civilian' version of the same Heuer, meaning it lacks the military engravings and was probably overstock.
