Offered for sale is this 1163 V in very nice condition. The serial number 274732 places this watch near or perhaps beyond the end of the Viceroy production runs, based upon a segment published in On The Dash, authored by Mark Moss: http://thoughts.onthedash.com/thoughts/serial-numbers-of-viceroy-autavias/ The Hour and Minute handset appears to be from the subsequent 11630 or 11630 GMT references. I do not know if the hands were fitted to the watch from new, or possibly changed at the request of a prior owner. Regardless of the hand’s origins, I was drawn to this particular watch because of them. Feel free to send me a PM should you have any questions or input. I purchased the watch in 2016 with these hands and have worn it in rotation since then. The bezel has a scuffs at 100 and 110 and another following the 70. However it shows very nicely overall. The plexiglass crystal is in nice condition, with a few minor blemishes which can be seen under a loupe. The case is in excellent shape and has all original factory finishes. A few minor swirls are apparent, but no dings or dents are seen. Fluted Pushers and crown are correct and presumed to be original. The cal. 12 movement was purportedly serviced at the time of my purchase in 2016, however I have no documentation. The watch continues to run well. The movement and the screw heads are all clean and in fine shape. I now note that one may see the reflection of a 5 bladed ceiling fan in the polished screw heads on the movement, so if they look a bit odd - you’ll know why. The strap is used and in good condition, with history marks from my wearing it on my 7 1/2” wrist. Price is $3750 USD, exclusive of any transactional costs, delivered to the USA.
